Taco fans in Tenerife can get their hands on free tacos today (Tuesday) — but there's an unusual condition attached. Taco Bell at the Meridiano Shopping Centre in Santa Cruz, are staging a promotional giveaway from 4:00pm, with customers asked to bring a flag to participate.
Customers who arrive at the participating Tenerife restaurant carrying a flag will be able to take part in the giveaway which forms part of the restaurant chain's celebrations linked to National Taco Day.
An unusual afternoon giveaway
The promotion offers a deliberately quirky twist by asking participants to turn up carrying a flag from any country (or wear clothing featuring one), plus they must say the word "taco" in the language corresponding to that flag when ordering.
It could mean a colourful afternoon at Meridiano as customers arrive with flags representing different countries and places while attempting to claim their free food.
The promotion starts at 4:00pm today, and anyone planning to take part would be advised not to leave it too late, as promotional giveaways are normally subject to availability.
Meridiano Shopping Centre is located in Santa Cruz (best known for where Primark is!) and is one of the capital's largest shopping centres.
